INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE WITH GLOBAL STRATEGIC PERSPECTIVES

After seven years of working in investment banking and asset management in London, Luísa moved back to Portugal in 2017 to work at BPI.

Born in Porto, she started having international experiences from her second year of university when she did a summer school at Berkeley. Since then, she became passionate about getting to know and learn from different cultural backgrounds and decided to move to London at the age of 20, to do a master’s in Finance at Cass Business School. Less than a year later, she started working in investment banking in the City at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Following four years across different roles, from Mergers & Acquisitions to Debt Capital Markets, she joined Ares Management, an American hedge fund with over 14 USDbn Assets Under Management.

In 2017, Luisa moved back to her hometown to join BPI’s Corporate Finance department and, more recently, moved to Structured Finance, where she advises companies on how to finance large investments.

Through her 10+ years of work experience, she has been advising and guiding Portuguese and European companies on its investment decisions and financing requirements, across a wide variety of sectors and regions, developing a strategic business expertise while focusing on the customers’ needs.
