Marta has a contagious energy to get things done.

She moves business forward and is a master of building trust and long-term relationships while optimizing processes and improving operations. She is extremely candid and sociable, a true team player and a highly dynamic, forward thinking individual. Colleagues refer Marta as someone who always tries to empower them, promote their well-being and their professional goals.

Her personality, her eagerness for problem-solving and willingness to learn made Marta choose Industrial Engineering. She quickly climbed the ranks when she started her career at Total Petrochemicals where she was responsible for chemical product’s day-to-day operations, across thirteen European industrial sites. She discovered her passion for supply chain and moved to one of the largest polymer distributors in Portugal. In her first year, Marta surpassed target yearly sales and operating, margins by building large commercial initiatives and bringing operational knowledge, in what was the best performing year for her department.

Before the MBA, during her most recent experience as head of operations and sales for a midcap textile company, Marta felt the need to further develop her leadership and managerial skills and decided to enrol on a MBA. She’s currently a Senior Project Manager at Platforme, a portuguese tech firm focused on solving Fashion Industry’s waste problem, through made-to-order production process and digital technology, where she’s a product owner responsible for client relationships with key fashion brands.
